Bandung Center for New Media Arts was founded in December 2001 as a respond of the urge of dialogue and cooperation among multi-disciplinary fields. By putting interest in the cross-section of science, technology and art, the organization tries to involve with person/institution to cooperate in shaping new ideas. Bandung Center for New Media Arts started its activity mainly in contemporary arts and architecture.

Practically, Bandung Center for New Media Arts actives in documentation, theory mediation, cooperation programs and public education. In these four sections, it meant to share its resources to scientific society as well as to public whose have the same interest.

Bandung Center for New Media Arts organize a collective space named Common Room which mainly works to build community based programs, together with Klab Baca - Tobucil, an organization works to support literacy movement in Bandung. Apart from that, Bandung Center for New Media Arts also develop network cooperation with Biosampler, a multimedia performance group founded in Bandung, 2001, and Cerahati, a production house which actively produce music video in national scale.

The organization involves Reina Wulansari (director), Gustaff H. Iskandar and R.E. Hartanto (program coordinators) and T. Reza Ismail (advisor). To date, the organization has cooperated with a number of cultural institutions.
